Know Me - Aman Basra

Who m I?!

Hello friends! Call me Aman.

I'm a young guy of 26. It's not easy for me to find adjectives for myself. So, I'm just putting my picture!

New Delhi was my home for all my life, except for the last 2 years. Since then, I've lived and worked in Singapore - a city I was always attracted to.

Work life is busy. Nevertheless, I'm off on Saturday's and Sunday's. Travel enchants me, and shopping too. I also enjoy walking and cycling in my leisure. In fact, there's so much to see in and around Singapore. I like quiet and scenic places, as opposed to pubs and crowds. If you think alike, do check me out.

My Family
My family still lives in New Delhi. I'm single.

My parents like New Delhi, and so does my sister. Both mum 'n pop are young and active - while mummy teaches, papa is a manager with a bank. Shabri is doing her postgraduation in Computers & Management. She's getting married very soon.

My home is in a western suburb of New Delhi. In the picture below, u can see my mum and Shabri enjoying a breezy winter morning atop our terrace.

My family is my greatest treasure.

My Profession & Education
Besides my family, I'm proud of my school and college for building my foundations.

All my 14 years at school were with Springdales - one of the Capital's leading schools. Later, I graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Poona in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. Being brilliant in studies and innovative at work, I made my mark at both school and college.

Apart from the first 6 months of my work life (with Philips in New Delhi), the rest of my career has been with Affinty Communications in Singapore - a regional leader in Systems Integration. My work involves Data/Voice/Fax Communication products, both software and hardware. As a Systems Engineer, I commission projects for business and hospitality applications, offer technical support services, and train our dealers and customers across Asia. It's an interesting 'hands-on' profession.
